This history preserves the anonymized wording and earlier written responses in the imported project records. Earlier responses may describe a previous design or contain wording now under review. Use the linked consolidated question for the current response status.

A source record can contain several questions. These records are not a count of individual submissions or people. Original messages and dates are still being reconciled; this history does not establish that every project submission has been captured.

Website and email Β· August 4, 2026Can the developer identify comparable battery facilities that have operated for at least 10 years and provide evidence of their effects on neighboring properties, water, noise, emergency services, and municipal finances?

Earlier written draft (answers as of October 7, 2026)

Few grid-scale lithium battery facilities anywhere have ten years of operating history, since the industry at this scale is younger than that. We can provide Massachusetts projects now in service, including Carver's 150 MW facility, online since 2025, along with their agreements, already in our public document library, and safety and incident data from the national fleet. We are compiling additional comparable-project materials residents have requested, including items submitted by committee members. The property value study described in the property value answers uses matched pairs of homes near operating projects and is the strongest evidence available on that question.

How the issues were handled

A written response is recorded. Sending an individual reply, considering feedback, and making a design change require separate evidence.

  • Are there comparable facilities with 10 years of history?
Individual reply: not confirmed. Consideration: not recorded. Design change: not confirmed.
