This history preserves the anonymized wording and earlier written responses in the imported project records. Earlier responses may describe a previous design or contain wording now under review. Use the linked consolidated question for the current response status.
A source record can contain several questions. These records are not a count of individual submissions or people. Original messages and dates are still being reconciled; this history does not establish that every project submission has been captured.

Website and email · August 4, 2026At present, the developer acknowledges that several fundamental studies are not complete and that the Community Benefits Plan has not yet been written. Without those documents, residents are being asked to evaluate a project without knowing its full risks, its enforceable benefits, or its long-term costs. Charlton should not approve or support this project based on benefits that have not yet been quantified or protections that have not yet been established. The studies, financial commitments, emergency plans, and enforceable agreements should be completed, independently reviewed, and presented publicly before the town is expected to decide whether this project is in Charlton's best interest.
Earlier written draft (answers as of October 7, 2026)
No decision is being requested on the basis of benefits that have not been quantified. The studies, financial commitments, emergency plans, and agreements described in these answers are being completed and published, and decision points come after they exist. Engagement continues while the studies are underway so that residents' input can shape them. Every commitment is listed on the public tracker at carpenterhillpower.com, with a status that can be checked at any time.
How the issues were handled
A written response is recorded. Sending an individual reply, considering feedback, and making a design change require separate evidence.
Nothing is finished. Why should anyone decide now? Individual reply: not confirmed. Consideration: not recorded. Design change: not confirmed.

Some studies are still underway, and results are published as they are completed. The Document Library has maps, the site plan, the draft Community Benefits Plan, and other reports. The engagement log records what was heard and done at each meeting, and the commitment tracker lists each promise with its status. Questions can be asked at any time through the website, by email, or at the weekly virtual office hours starting October 14.
